Return of Walk-in Clinics for the Family Health Team at Anemki
Our Walk-in Clinic has re-opened at 200 Anemki Place.
The hours are :
Wednesdays from 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Fridays from 9:30am – 11:30am
Dare to Dream Day
Mazinaajim Children’s Foundation and the Dilico Children’s Mental Health Team are hosting an event for Young Imaginations. The 4th Annual Dare to Dream Day is a free fun filled event for children and their families. Children will get to visit and interact with a number of fun and exciting booths and experience a variety of hands on activities. Children will have a chance to meet and talk with many different Superheroes and Princesses, take fun photos and hear from some amazing role models. Youth attending the event will all receive a free gift bag and enjoy a free BBQ dinner.
Expanding Addictions Services
This new investment will provide a safe space in the local continuum of addictions treatment for Indigenous young people to address personal difficulties related to substance misuse. They will be able to engage with other young people transitioning into adulthood in a supportive living environment that is inclusive and provides other on-site support services such as cultural and land-based activities, life skill building, coping skill development; as well as access to individual and group counselling, and supports with entry to education and employment opportunities.
Honouring our Children – Reconciliation Run
A reconciliation run honouring the Indigenous children lost and the healing journey of residential school survivors and their families on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Bright Lights Award Winner
We want to acknowledge that this pandemic has been a very difficult time for everyone and the loss that many endured. We are very proud of our team members for stepping up through the provision of testing, vaccinations, home support, and mental health & addictions care.
Step Up 2021
This year the annual initiative is looking to amplify the voices of Indigenous youth and raise awareness about how the community can step up and Come Together to help keep children safe and strengthen families this October.
Dilico Youth Council plans Virtual Youth Gathering – Celebrating Us
Dilico Youth Council has planned a virtual youth gathering for this fall. The theme of their conference is “Celebrating Us” and they have enough resources for 100 Youth per night ages 12 and up to join them for a variety of great events led by motivational speakers Turtle Concepts.

The Provincial Youth Outreach Worker program is back up and running for Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. Alex and Josh have been working to re-establish the program again in our community.
