Adult Services supports healthy adult lifestyles. We provide assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to Anishinabek individuals and communities.

Adult Residential Treatment Centre
Pre-treatment:

This program prepares client’s transitioning into residential treatment services through educational groups.

Adult Residential Treatment Program:

The Adult Residential Treatment Centre provides a safe, strength-based approach to wellness with support for individuals who are struggling with alcohol and substance misuse.

It is a voluntary residential treatment program for adults 18+ years. The 4-5 week program successfully combines cultural teachings, clinical intervention and counselling support.

Aftercare:

Following a client centred healing approach the Aftercare program is offered to clients that have completed residential treatment. This 10 week program offers a structured relapse prevention model.

Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Services (RAAM)

Provides immediate access for individuals seeking treatment for any substance use disorder.  The RAAM Clinic is located at the NorWest Community Health Centre, 525 Simpson Street, Thunder Bay and the Dilico Family Health Team, 200 Anemki Place, FWFN.

Service Overview

  • Will connect individuals 16+ with the appropriate level of treatment based on their needs
  • No referral is required: people can obtain services when they are ready to seek assistance with addiction

June Steeve Lendrum Family Resource Centre
An apartment complex for single mothers between the ages of 16-24 years of age who are pregnant or who have a child less than 6 years of age. Collaborative effort with Dilico, Little Lions Waldorf Daycare and The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board. On the main communal floor, pre and post-natal care, community kitchens, drop-in programs, workshops, parenting and life skills education are offered by partner agencies.

Seaway Inc.

Seaway is an all-male, 18+, rent-geared to income apartment building. Seaway apartments offer an independent sober-living environment for up to 2 years, as individuals transition back into the community following the completion of an addictions treatment and post treatment program. Throughout the duration of their residence at Seaway, clients continue their recovery and work towards personal goals (i.e. school, volunteering, part-time work). Seaway offers on-site access to counsellors, in addition to client-led and group facilitated programming. Referrals and applications are received directly from Post Treatment residential addictions programs.

Adult Mental Health Services

Adult Mental Health Services (In-City)

A client-centered, voluntary service for Anishinabek adults 18+ years residing in the city of Thunder Bay that offers a range of Mental Health & Addictions Services.

Adult Mental Health Services (District)

Provides counselling and case management to assist individuals in First Nation communities with Mental Health concerns, substance misuse and social and behavioural difficulties.  Includes a collaborative and integrative approach with the First Nation social teams and health, education and legal systems. Services are available throughout the Robinson Superior Treaty Area and a portion of Algoma.  Localized offices are located in, Longlac, Pic Mobert First Nation, Nipigon and Whitesand First Nation.
