Primary Care and Allied Health Services

Primary healthcare refers to a broad range of health services provided by medical professionals in the community. Your general practitioner (GP) is a primary healthcare provider, and so are nurses, pharmacists, and allied health providers like registered dieticians.

At Dilico Anishinabek Family Care we have two Primary Care teams. While our Family Health Team, located at our Anemki site, consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, RPNs and a Social Worker; our Primary Care Travelling Team, that travels across the remainder of the Robinson Superior Treaty Area.

Additionally, we will do well-baby checks, foster parent medicals, and child welfare admissions to those in care that do not currently have a family care provider. We also hold weekly walk-in clinics at the Anemki site, on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm and Friday from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Specifically, we offer the following services and more:

  • Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner
  • Medication Reviews
  • Health Eating
  • Midwifery
  • Addictions Medicine
