Under the direction of the Community Health Service Manager, the Administrative Assistant assists in organizing the Community Health Services and Infant Child Development Services by receiving referrals, compiling and stocking resources, maintaining files and statistics, and generating reports from the Pen lieu Data System or other data system as may be applicable.  The Administrative Assistant performs secretarial and clerical duties for other program staff and provides coverage for the HCC Administrative Assistant.

Qualifications and Requirements: A minimum two-year Health Records Technician or two-year Medical Secretary Diploma is required; Three (3) or more years experience in secretarial and/or health records, preferably in a hospital or other Health Services setting.

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week

Must have:  Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Community Health Service Manager in relation to service requirements; must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and have access to a personal vehicle; must complete a criminal records check upon hiring.
