RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES MANAGER

The Residential Treatment Services Manager will manage the day to day operations of the Osh-Ki-Niig Mash-Ka-Zii-Win program to ensure the current developmental, academic, treatment, and psycho-social needs of children, youth and their families in care are met by actively supervising staff in the provision of assessment and treatment. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the provision of holistic assessment and treatment services for children and youth through a 24 hour care setting that is consistent with the vision, mission and core values established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care. The Residential Treatment Services Manager will be responsible for the implementation of culturally safe, integrated service delivery from the point of intake to discharge for all assigned children, youth and families receiving assessment and treatment services.

Qualifications and Requirements: A Social Work or Psychology Graduate Degree is preferred.  A minimum four-year Social Work degree or related degree is required.  Three (3) years direct service with children, adolescent, and families; three (3) or more years of experience in a managerial role preferred; training and experience in evidence-based programming, as it applies to the Anishinabek family, school, community, and social service organizations; training and experience in the co-ordination of residential care related activities and programming as it applies to the Anishinabek family and community.  Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.

Hours of Work:  35 hours per week

Must have:  The ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Director of Mental Health and Addictions in relation to service requirements; must possess a Class “G” Driver’s License and must have access to a personal vehicle; a satisfactory Criminal Records Search; must complete a medical and receive the required immunizations as recommended by the local medical officer of health.
