The Protection Service Manager is responsible for the management of a multi-disciplinary team approach to Child Welfare; providing direction and supervision to Child Welfare staff; ensuring consistency of standards so that services and programs express the policies and procedures of Dilico, and are within the legal framework of the Child and Family Services Act. The Protection Service Manager, in conjunction with Senior Management and other Service Managers, is responsible for ensuring the implementation of integrated service delivery from the point of intake to discharge for all children, youth, and families receiving services from Dilico.

Qualifications and Requirements: Post secondary education in the field of Social Services; BSW minimum, HBSW or MSW preferred. Supervisory experience in Child Welfare services; direct service experience with Anishinabek children, families and communities.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week.

Must have: A satisfactory Criminal Records Search; the ability to work flexible hours; travel regularly and act on an “on call” basis in relation to service requirements; have a valid Class “G” driver’s license; have access to a reliable personal vehicle, and have $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance.
