CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER

Up to Seven-Month Contract, Day Treatment Services, Thunder Bay

To meet the demands of the agency’s rapid growth and increased organizational needs, Dilico invites you to join our multiservice team of professionals as a Child and Youth Worker.  The Child and Youth Worker is responsible for providing assessment, intervention, treatment, advocacy and support for Anishinabek children and youth who are experiencing difficulty functioning in a regular classroom setting because of social, emotional and/or behavioural concerns.

Qualifications and Requirements:  A minimum three-year Child and Youth Worker Diploma is preferred. A diploma in a related field may be considered.   Experience in day treatment services or special education programming is preferred; related work with children and/or youth involving the development and implementations of social and behavioral programming is required.  Experience working with Anishinabek children and youth with special needs and their families.  Males strongly encouraged to apply.

Must have:  The ability to work flexible hours; a valid Class “G” Driver’s License; access to a reliable, personal vehicle; $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance and a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate is required.
