Family Health Team

Working as a team to keep patients healthy.

One of only three community-sponsored Aboriginal Family Health Teams in Ontario, the Dilico Family Health Team coordinates the highest quality of care for both Anishinabek and non-Aboriginal individuals and families residing in Dilico's jurisdiction, Thunder Bay and surrounding area.

An interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, a social worker, a traditional healer and a diabetes educator work together to provide patients with primary health care including:

  • Health Promotion
  • Health Education
  • Illness Prevention
  • Disease Diagnosis
  • Management and Rehabilitation

Constructed in 2008, the Dilico Family Health Team's 5000 square foot facility is located on Fort William First Nation, within Dilico's Main Office.
