The Support worker will ensure the supervision, safety and treatment needs of the individual are met. The role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary, cross sectorial support team for an individual with high support needs.

Qualifications and Requirements: A College Diploma in developmental services or mental health related field with four years’ experience in the field of Mental Health and/or Addictions is required. Experience working with individuals with SMI preferred. DBT training considered an asset. Experience in the field of Mental health/developmental services; Experience in the provision of individual support and crisis management; Experience in the provision of trauma informed care; Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.

Hours of Work: (FT) 36 hours per week (PT) 24 hours per week

Must have: Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Assistant Director or designate in relation to service requirements; must possess a valid Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable personal vehicle with $1 million dollar liability; must hold a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate; must complete a satisfactory criminal records check.
