The Mental Health Nurse is responsible for, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary clinical team, provide support, assessment, education and planning services to the families and clients who are experiencing mental health and health challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements: A four year BScN degree is required; a Case Management Certificate and or Mental Health related training will be considered an asset; Knowledge, analytical skills and experience in the field of Indigenous mental health. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, case conferencing, assisting in research and development if required, ongoing evaluation of service delivery, addressing gaps in service delivery and implementing change as required bettering servicing the clients. Previous work experience with the Anishinabek is required

Hours of Work:  32.5 hours per week

Must have: Travel is essential to the First Nation communities serviced by Dilico Health Services; ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Unit Manager or designate in relation to service delivery requirements; a valid Class “G” Driver’s License; access to a reliable, personal vehicle; $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance; must provide evidence of registration with the appropriate regulatory bodies (CNO and RNAO) and must have a current Standard First Aid/CPR certificate.
