The Assistant Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services will be assigned a portfolio of responsibilities which will include assisting in the operation of adult mental health and addictions programs and services, as well as responsibilities for knowledge and information management, specific internal and external liaison, special projects, policy development and reporting functions. The Assistant Director of Mental Health and Addictions Services will assist in ensuring that services are provided using culturally relevant and evidence-based practice, and that services are delivered following the vision, mission and core values of Dilico.
Qualifications and Requirements: A University degree in the field of Social Services; BSW or MSW preferred. A minimum of three years’ experience in mental health and addictions services programs management; minimum five years’ experience working in the adult mental health and addictions field; extensive leadership and administration experience, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in the areas of, information management, policy development, program management, accreditation, team building, supervision, and organizational development. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Must have: A satisfactory Criminal Records Search; ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Director of Service or designate in relation to service delivery requirements; ability to respond to twenty-four(24) hour on-call service support requests from residential programs in this portfolio; must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s G License , have access to a personal vehicle, and have $1,000,000 liability insurance.
