The Family Counsellor will ensure the current developmental, treatment, and psycho-social needs of children, youth, and families are met by actively participating in the provision of assessment and treatment.
Qualifications and Requirements: A minimum HBSW is required. Two or more years experience in the provision of counselling services to Anishinabek children, youth, and their families is preferred. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week
Must have: The ability to work flexible hours; a valid Class “G” Driver’s License; access to a reliable, personal vehicle; $1,000,000 liability vehicle insurance; a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate is recommended; Satisfactory Criminal Records Check; and able to complete and maintain certification in CANS and other relevant Ministry of Children and Youth Services initiatives.
