Under the direction of the Health Quality Assurance Manager (or designate) the Clinical Educator is responsible for the provision of professional leadership for clinical practice, support, and services to health staff and managers; audits and assessments to ensure quality nursing services; advice and guidance in all matters relating to nursing and nursing service delivery; trend identification to influence planning as well as advocate for equipment and practice improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements: A four-year BScN degree is required. Two years’ experience in advanced nursing assessment skills, health leadership and strong knowledge of professional standards of practice (role, scope, and function) for healthcare. Two (2) years’ experience working in a First Nation community or equivalent organization. Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications will also be considered.
Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week
Must have: A satisfactory Criminal Records Search; ability to work flexible hours as determined by the manager or designate in relation to service delivery requirements; must posses a valid Ontario Driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
